I talked with him because I had made the decision to no longer attend Westside. Tonight I officially placed membership at Airport Loop, where I have been visiting the past couple of months. These are changes that I am doing in order to help reorder my life and to get my life where it needs to be. I need a congregation where I will not get lost in the crowd. I'm here for the free wifi and refills of amazing cherry dr. pepper. As I sit here I am listening to Accapella radio on pandora.com. I just ran into a friend from my club. I was talking to her about my situation with Beka, and it was good, and before she needed to leave, she prayed with me about it. That helped. Tonight, at Airport Loop, we had a "substitute" preacher. His lesson can basically be summed up in the question he asked at the beginning and the end of the sermon - "Are you an asset or a liability to the church?" It was a really good lesson and it really made me think. I definitely have some cleaning up to do in my spiritual life. Tomorrow I am off work, but I've got to go talk to someone on campus and start cleaning up. Monica is moving into the apartment with me on Saturday, and will be staying there until her wedding in October. It is really hard for me not to hate my roommate right now, when I think I really out to pity her. Her life is well pretty much crap but its her fault. I cannot really go into details, b/c it isn't my story to tell, but her life is not in a good place at all, and she shows no sign of change. Then again I haven't seen her nor had a real conversation with her in almost 2 weeks now. Yesterday I called her mom about stuff, mostly financial in nature since she pays Beka's bills. Her mom called me back tonight and said she has not been able to get in touch with her. Lets just say I am very unhappy with my roommate currently, and if she had been there last night she would probably not have made it. My temper is feeling better now though. I bought my books for classes today. approximately $330 for 7 books so not so bad. I walk in and found out that the school harddrive crashed and our teacher was unable to print off an old test so he gave us an option. 1. Take a new test (maybe oral I didn't really hear this part it was presented 2nd) or 2. Keep you current grade. Well I had an A in the class as it was so of course I kept my grade. That gives me a 3.67 for the summer semester, and should help me a lot with getting my GPA up! I was greatful to get to go since it was here in Searcy and not in either one of their home towns. It was gorgeous and I also got to meet up with some other school friends. I got to spend a few hours talking to my old roommate, Val. I miss her and am so glad to get to spend time talking with her. There was much laughter and some tears but that is to be expected, I guess. We went to the 9:45 showing of Dark Knight wth a bunch of people which was amazing! That is all there is to it. If you haven't seen it, you should just get up and go now. VBS started at Airport Loop this week, I was going to go last night. I'm only going to be able to go on Thursday since I have to work everyother night. 3 Days of class left. No one was seriously injured, (the passenger of the other vehicle was complaining of neck problems). The guy at the tow place says my car is probably fixable, and the other car wasn't damaged really at all just like a dent in the bumper that is barely perseptible. I'm gonna try to post pictures ASAP. Right now I am renting a 2008 Dodge Charger until my car is driveable again. My news from my last post is that a dear friend of mine is getting married in October. I'm not sure that any of you know her but I didn't want to take the chance because it is the internet after all. Her name is Monica Lane and she is marrying a guy named Josh Larson. His parents are missionaries in Germany. I'm really excited for them and it seems that I spend half my time helpiing her with wedding stuff since I am here in Searcy where the wedding is going to be and she is at home with her family in Nashville, TN.
