Mandatory In-Car Breathalyzers Coming?

Eric Peters asks, If you’re not a convicted drunk driver, should you still be required to have an in-car breathalyzer fitted (at your expense, ‘natch) to your next new vehicle?Very good article on the nanny culture that's taken over our lives.

Change We Can Believe In"...And the areas with the worst problems today are areas that have the most government interference – education, health care and energy. The best course of action is to allow a free-market economy to reallocate resources to the place of highest returns. In the midst of all the natural change, the last thing the U.S. economy needs is more government involvement, whether it's called change or not."

Isn't it odd that to use FREECreditReport.com you have to pay $12 per month?I just sort of realized recently that I've been paying that ever since I signed up a while back to check my credit score. So now I'm on hold to cancel, because if you click "Cancel" on the web site, it just takes you back to the same page... Very handy.Anyway. I guess "Free credit report dot com" is a lot easier to make a catchy song for than "Twelve dollars per month credit report dot com", and I really do like their commercials with the guy and the band -- the pirate (seafood waiter) and car commercial are the best.I saw a link to "Stuff White People Like" the other day, and thought I should pass it on. It is hilarious. Check it.

"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross." --(Probably incorrectly attributed to Sinclair Lewis)If that quote doesn't sum up the last 7 years of the Bush administration and the future of the Republican party, I don't know what does.
