I've only been working at my new job for about a month now. But, i feel like i am bringing my work home with me.Yesterday, i helped a professor add form fields to a Word document and then protect it with a password. Nothing difficult, regular job stuff.Well, last night, i had a dream that I went out on the web, where the document was going to be published, and tried to fill in the form field -- and it didn't work. I proceeded to cry and scream. ...thank goodness that was only a dream. In reality, i believe the form is working just fine :-)On a better note, Meg, my cousin Jacob, and I went to the Baron's baseball game last night. I hadn't been to a game in ....about 12 years. I had a good time, especially because we got to eat icecream out of those little plastic baseball helmets. :-) yum yum. Many thanks to Sarah for the awesome quilt she sent me! I am going to carry it everywhere with me! -- as if i were 3 again and need a security blanket! Thank you!My grandmother is c...

positive things about work.

I really like my new job -- still. Here is a list of reasons i like it:- they use the same phones as Auburn -- no having to learn how to transfer calls again. - 1 hour lunch breaks -- with which i usually go shopping.-working 3 minutes from Brookwood mall.- my own desk.- hot water in the bathrooms.- i am the youngest person who works here -- everyone else is around 40-50. Its like working with your parents -- but, they dont get on to you.- I have a bowl of candy on my desk for passers by. - My immediate office is me and 3 men. No gossip.- I have already been "reprimanded" for looking at wedding stuff. They just laughed. -- it reminded me of working with Skinny and Matt Banta.- Today, the 70-something Mrs. Ann danced around.- We have birthday parties once a month for everyone on the floor who has a birthday that month. Our party was today -- cake, icecream, cookies. -there are only about 4 women who work on the entire floor (out of about 30 people) -- so the ba...

trip cancelled.me angry.the end.**edit**: I now have a FedEx tracking number on my passport, though they haven't officially put it on a truck/plane yet. The options now are to pay a lot more for same day delivery -- OR -- meet it somewhere out of state (more than likely). cross your fingers.and your toes.

i spent the last 45 minutes in my car, in the parking lot of the office, sleeping. greatest 45 minutes of my life. Now, i'm in that groggy phase. But, the sleep was good stuff. In the passport world, i'm still despising the government. I called them this morning and got the same answer. When i asked, "what can I do go hurry this along" the girl replied, "you can't do anything." Needless to say, i've been on the verge of tears all day. I said, "and what happens when Thursday rolls around and i still dont have my passport -- i can't go on my trip?" and she said "yes maam, that's correct."AAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGEEEERRRRRRRRRRR.I've been so sleepy lately. Travelling back and forth from Pulaski has worn me out and i've gotten a total of about 10 hours of sleep the last 3 days. I dont mind driving to Pulaski, dont get me wrong..and i love being able to see miklm so much....but i just love sleep, too. Now i'm to the point of: Shoul...

This past weekend had its ups and downs.Michael and I went to Nashville and had dinner with my cousin, Jacob, and Alex and Eleah. Much fun was had eating sushi and watching Hot Fuzz.I went to see my grandmother on Sunday. She is going to be having back surgery in a few weeks and is getting to be in poor health. Please keep her in your prayers. Sunday night, Michael's family came over and we grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. I thought it was delicious. Then i had to leave to come back to Bham. I didn't get home til midnight and i had to be up at 6:30. But, here I am at my desk...just back from lunch.I currently despise the government. I applied for my passport 11.5 weeks ago and still have not received it. I'm supposed to be going out of the country THIS FRIDAY -- and still haven't received it. I'm getting pretty angry -- especially after calling them 39872398 times and getting a "we are working on it" answer. I got some new tunes for my ipod, so driving back ...

Weeeellllll. I had a great memorial day weekend.Michael and his brother were here for a track day in the BMW at Barber Motorsports Park. I went out there Fri, Sat, Sun to be supportive. It actually wasn't bad at all. I might have even had fun! :-) I considered myself the official photographer - taking pictures of miklm going around the track. We got to hang out with some cool fellows...one particularly who was driving a Lamborghini Radical -- which i had never seen before. It was really cool. The weather this weekend was amazing. it wasn't just insanely hot -- but the sun shining was so nice. As for Memorial day, sadly -- michael had to go home on sunday. But, my family spent yesterday at my brother Matt's house. His wife's family was there too. We had AMAZING food - home smoked bbq (oh my stars delicious), corn, potato salad, baked beans, fruit, homeade icecream, etc. After eating -- we went fishing. I caught 1 bass...i wanted to catch more, but apparently fish dont like m...
