greatest covers ever

I'm not trying to copy him but I've heard some really great covers and I just thought this would be a good discussion. One of the greatest covers I've ever heard (I'm not just saying this because I like Green Day but) was when Green Day covered We Are the Champions at Live 8. They did such a good job. Now your turn (no slamming people for liking some stuff PLEASE!!)

Perhaps this is a guilty pleasure, but I really enjoy Boys II Men's cover of "Yesterday" by the Beatles. I wouldn't go so far as to say I like it better than the Beatles' version, but it gives it a run for it's money.

well...im not gunna say anything because ive never heard the song....but to say it gives the original a run for its money could be an over statement....but again...ive never heard the song, so i cant say. but another one is house of the rising sun, the animals cover of that was amazing...its far more played then bob dylans original.

Limp Bizkit took a gay song by George Michaels and turned it into one of the best covers ever. Even if you don't like them, you have to admit its a good cover.

you're high as limp bizkit ever was... the song was pathetic before the cover, and the terribleness was accentuated even more after the horrendous cover...

however, at least the former version had a nice poppy feel to it... despite how gay it still was
