So Much More..

Too many times, we who are Christians, put more emphasis on baptism than need be.

TRUE- that it is EXTREMELY important, because- how in the world do you become a Christian without being baptized?

But what I'm saying, is that we too often tend to stop right there.

We harp and harp about baptism, put so much attention on it, when in reality its what comes AFTER baptism that is so important.

Walking in newness of life.

We are baptized, but sometimes we don't let the old man die. We allow him to live on underneath this "Christian" skin.

We continue to be angry, bitter, and arrogant- demanding that OUR way goes instead of GOD's ways.

We gossip and querral.

Instead of loving, caring, and helping each other, we tear each other down.

We continue to allow our personal lives be swamped by worldly things instead of filling our days with things that are "lovely, pure, just" (Phil. 4:8).

We go through the motions, but we don't live it.

Dearest friends, this should not be so.

Let us not allow Satan to grasp us again. Jesus died to free you from him, why should we spit in his face by just going back the way we came from?

He never said that it was going to be easy, but he did says it would be worth it.

In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.John 14:2

If we truely believe in God's enduring promise, He will make sure we get through this life and its pains.
He will never fail us.

So let us not fail Him by turning our backs on him.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light(for the fruit of the Spirit[b]is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.
