    Okay, going to Houston and back today, a 2+ hour drive, and her dad is driving. So, I'm going to work on writing my first contribution to this album, and maybe some other songs, don't know.

    Working on a song. A serious song. (Whoa.) It has to do with our response to the deaths of war. Here's a line I like. I don't have a lot more than this:

    ...and we'll lower our flag to half-mast,
    but we'll never take it down.

    The song will be about mourning, but staying the course, letting each death steel our resolve, not weaken it.

    Singing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" can prove tricky by starting on the normal first note, with the second word, "me." Some spots want to go back to the normal version, but if you've done it right, the last word, "game," should leave you hanging.
