Centers

I'll be teaching the upper elementary class (grades 4-6) in the second quarter of next year, and I want to supplement our current curriculum with OSH. I only want to spend about 15 minutes, at the most, on OSH since we have so much to cover with our regular curriculum.

Plus, we're planning a once-a-month class (outside of Sun/Wed bible classes) for all of the elementary kids (grades 1-6). The class will be 45-60 minutes long. I have talked with the parents, and we have agreed that it would be good for these kiddos to start going through OSH for that class. Our classes are so long, and we have such a wide variety of ages, that I want to have several different centers for the kids to rotate through, in addition to a quick lesson. I have the Chronology Box cards (purple historical period cards, yellow books of the Bible cards, and white key people cards) and some of the basic curriculum (maps, mneumonic devices, some worksheets that help the kids review/practice at home, etc.).

Long story short, I'm looking for some ideas of centers/activities that I can use for our monthly OSH classes, and some that I might be able to use when reviewing the Chronology Box during bible class. Any ideas you might have for differentiating/modifying activities for the lower and upper elementary grades, would be appreciated, too!

Thanks in advance everybody!

I would really love some input on using this curriculum in sort of a "bible lab" type setting - ie with centers, etc. We have some of the OSH materials but have barely scratched the surface in using it, and we have decided to combine two classes into one with the lab/centers format. Any advice would be most welcome!
