Scrapbooking to Learn
Have you heard about this? There are articles at
http://scrapbooktolearn.ning.com/
My daughter has done a little bit of this with a free digital scrapbooking program we got when we bought a new printer last year. It was A LOT of fun. Of course, it would be more hands-on with true scrapbooking materials... but I take so long to put together one page, and it was nice to just be able to "click and drag" all the borders, clipart, etc. Last year she put together a page about the Revolutionary War using free clipart from the internet.
My best friend is a homeschooler and avid scrapbooker, so I'm going to see if we can trade some babysitting so that she can sit down with my daughter and do some scrapbooking for school next year. It would be nice to make scrapbooking pages and put them in a big binder to have as a portfolio of her school year (nice for when friends and relatives ask what we're learning about too :) )
