Question for moms

I am a runner, and I am nursing. Have any of you trained for a 1/2 marathon while nursing or is this too strenuous? Also, any tips on which running stroller is the best? I would prefer to have one that doubles as a bike trailer, but I am a little concerned about how bulky those seem to be. Any suggestions?

I don't think it would be a problem at all. You'll just have to make sure you eat A LOT. Remember that each mile is about 100 calories and nursing needs about 300 extra calories a day. So when your milage gets up there you're going to need almost 2 days worth of food each day!

I love my Baby Trend double jogging stroller. I read a bunch on jogging strollers before buying ours and I remember reading that the bike trailer ones really weren't good for running. Also, make sure you get one with a fixed wheel. They are more stable and though a little difficult to steer at first it doesn't take long to get the hang of it. I've heard that the best strollers are the B.O.B. ones, but they're obscenely expensive. Baby Trend actually got the best reviews of what I read (I was looking for a double, but I'm sure the same is true for their single).
