gold users are members that have decided to take an active role in the community by purchasing a subscription (which keeps the site running) and gaining access to extended features. users can purchase a subscription either for themselves or for someone else. for more information on subscription plans, please go here.

the premium features available to gold users are:

general
  • toggle send message when linked to in an entry or comment.
  • toggle email alert when new message received.
  • mark all your entries private at once
  • 'stealth mode' - all of your entries, pictures, rooms, etc as well as your blog itself is only viewable by users on your friends list.

weblog
  • follow entries - get access to a page that lists all followed entries, also receive a message when someone comments on a followed entry
  • private entries - only you and your friends can see
  • private comments on all viewable entries
  • browse the site ad-free
  • no ads appear on your blog for anyone
  • save drafts of entries / entry autosave
  • toggle links in sidebar private/public

friends
  • clear dots - as if you visited all of your friends so they won't be highlit or dotted anymore
  • toggle friends list in sidebar private/public
  • watched users - like friends but they can't see your private info and aren't shown on your friends list

messages
  • see your sent messages

groups
  • create new groups
  • be a group operator
  • appoint other group ops
  • toggle groups list in sidebar private/public
  • clear dots on your sidebar groups list

galleries
  • unlimited galleries (normal users can have up to 3)
  • unlimited pictures (normal users can have up to 100)
  • private galleries
  • toggle gallery list in sidebar private/public

rooms
  • unlimited rooms (normal users can have up to 100)
  • private rooms
  • toggle room list in sidebar private/public

    My "gold" subscription expired. When I click on "subscription for you" it doesn't take me anywhere. When I click on "gift subscription" it says I can't give myself a gift. Please help!

    dsh you're still showing up gold from what I can see. Is it possible that your subscription renewed automatically through your paypal or something like that?
